Gunner

Gunner is a Field Bred English Springer Spaniel.  He was born in November 1997.  He is very intelligent and quick to learn.  He is also quite hardheaded!  But he makes up for that in pure drive!  This dog will hunt all day!  He has made some great retrieves in thick thorny cover that other dogs would not brave.  He lives to retrieve!  This drive has also allowed me to use Gunner when I hunt snow geese here in southeast Texas.  He is not the least bit timid on those big birds. On pheasants this dog really shines!  I do believe the prettiest sight I have seen is Gunner retrieving  a pheasant in the early morning sun.  Gunner is all heart.  I couldn't even count the doves that would have been lost had not Gunner been there.  He is a great dog and a great friend!!
